Fábio Serranito was awarded a PhD in Philosophy in 2015 by Universidade Nova de Lisboa - Faculdade de Ciências Sociais e Humanas. He completed his Masters in Philosophy (Ethics) in 2008, and his undergraduate degree in Philosophy in 2006 at the same university. A specialist in Ancient philosophy and Ancient Greek thought, particularly Plato, Fábio Serranito's main research interests include madness and lucidity, love and homosexuality, and conceptions of life, happiness and human nature. Since 2019, he is a Part-Time Lecturer in Classics at the University of Leeds, where he teaches Ancient Greek, Latin, Ancient Greek literature (epic and tragedy), and Ancient Philosophy.
