Aline Oliveira is PhD in Applied Meteorology from the Department of Agricultural Engineering at the Federal University of Viçosa - Brazil. In 2020 obtained the recognition of the academic degree of doctor by the Polytechnic Institute of Coimbra-Portugal. Completed a master's degree in Analysis and Modeling of Environmental Systems in 2012 and a degree in Geography, with an emphasis on geo-technologies and environmental sciences, in 2009, both from the Federal University of Minas Gerais-Brazil. Is a member researcher at the Center for Functional Ecology at the University of Coimbra and a postdoctoral researcher at the Coimbra Agricultural School of the Polytechnic Institute of Coimbra. His main publication took place in 2018, in co-authorship, in the journal Nature Sustainability, whose work integrated the main findings of his PhD. His research follows the line of landscape management and environmental economics, specifically in fire ecology and economics. Develops models for creating territorial policies scenarios, at multiple scales of governance, including integrated spatial simulations of fire behavior and land-use changes. His research also consists of numerical modeling of agricultural and forestry profitability and the evaluation and valuation of ecosystem services. Aline Oliveira, as a field researcher, has already collected primary data in several forest locations in the Pan-Amazon (Brazil, Peru and Bolivia) in more than 40 medium-sized Brazilian cities and 60 forest areas in central and southern Portugal. Worked as a guest adjunct professor of undergraduate and graduate courses at the Coimbra Agricultural School - Portugal and an adjunct professor at the Pitágoras University - Brasil for 6 years, where she taught subjects in the areas of Fire Ecology, Environmental Management, Geotechnologies and Climate Sciences.
