Joana Lagarinhos was born in Guarda, Portugal. She got his M.Sc. degree in 2016 in Chemistry with specialization in Advanced and Industrial Chemistry at Faculty of Sciences and Technology of University of Coimbra (FCTUC), Coimbra (Portugal). During her studies, she had the opportunity to be involved in a wide range of scientific areas, especially in the passionate area about materials science and engineering. She also integrated in some research projects in these fields in collaboration between the academy and industrial companies. Joana started working since 2016 as research fellow at University of Aveiro, Aveiro (Portugal). Currently, she is PhD student in the field of Materials Science and Engineering and working for the doctoral thesis in the development of new thermoplastic composites reinforced with nanoparticles for application in automotive industry.
