Toma Tasovac is the Director of the Belgrade Center for Digital Humanities (BCDH) and Director of the Digital Research Infrastructure for the Arts and Humanities (DARIAH-EU). Toma was trained at Trinity College Dublin, Princeton University and Harvard University. His areas of scholarly expertise include lexicography, data modelling, Text Encoding Initiative, digital editions and research infrastructures. He is one of the authors of TEI Lex-0, an emerging community standard for encoding lexicographic data and is currently also affiliated with the H2020-funded project European Lexicographic Infrastructure (ELEXIS). Toma was the principal investigator responsible for the creation of a number of digital tools and resources including Prepis.org: A Platform for the Transcription of Serbian Handwritten Heritage; Raskovnik.org: A Publication Platform for Retrodigitized Dictionaries; and DARIAH-Campus: A Discovery Framework and Hosting Platform for DH Learning Resources.
