Ana Rita Palma Mira Delgado Martins holds a BA in Philosophy-History of the Ideas (1994), a MA in Theatre Studies (2002) and completed her PhD in Theatre Studies by the Faculdade de Letras da Universidade de Lisboa with the thesis A fábrica do Teatro do Bairro Alto (1761-1775), supervised by José Camões and with a fellowship of the Foundation for Science and Technology. She published her dissertation thesis Raul Brandão - do texto à cena (INCM, 2007) and was responsible for editing Teatro Completo de D. João da Câmara (INCM, 2006). She was a teacher of Theatre History and Theatre Aesthetics in academic and art centers (Fórum Dança, Instituto Piaget, ESTAL), member of the Editorial Board of the journal Sinais de Cena (series I and II) theatre critic of the national newspaper Público (2004-2010) and President of the Portuguese Association of Theatre Critics (2018-2021). She is currently researcher at CET-Centro de Estudos de Teatro (FLUL - UL) and APCT member.
