Carlos Monteiro is a PhD student in Philosophy at the Faculty of Arts and Humanities of the University of Coimbra, where he also obtained his Master's Degree in Philosophy and his Bachelor's Degree, also in Philosophy, with a Minor in European Studies. He is a collaborating member of the Institute for Philosophical Studies (IEF) at the University of Coimbra. His main areas of interest are Rhetoric, Argumentation Theory, Logic, Epistemology, Philosophy of Science, and Ethics. He is currently writing his thesis on the Rhetoric of the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as conducting research on areas related to Rhetoric, Argumentation, and their application to philosophical problems and topics shaping the contemporary world, including Health Communications, Politics, Artificial Intelligence, and Multicultural Care. Within the framework of his activities at the IEF, his research focuses on the strategic priority of "Care, Politics, and Ethics".
