Niloofar Khodamoradi is currently a research assistant with the Nanostructured Materials Group at INL, International Iberian Nanotechnology Laboratory. She initiated her research journey in Chemical Engineering, focusing on the synthesis of CuO nanoparticles, which sparked her interest in innovative research methodologies. She pursued further studies in Bioengineering, where her thesis explored the effects of nanoclay on the water holding and release capabilities of bacterial cellulose nanocomposites. During her tenure as a research assistant in the Medical Nanotechnology Group at the University of Tabriz, Niloofar engaged in developing regenerative medicine protocols. She continued to refine her analytical abilities at the University of Minho under the guidance of Professor Miguel Gama, working on the impact of bacterial cellulose on egg white proteins. At INL, Niloofar has specialized in advanced electron microscopy techniques, including Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM), Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM), and Scanning Transmission Electron Microscopy (STEM). These skills have been essential in her understanding of materials at the nanoscale, particularly in addressing the sophisticated imaging needs of various research applications.
