Daniel Afonso. Completed the PhD in Mechanical Engineering in 2017 by the University of Aveiro and Integrated Master in Mechanical Engineering in 2009 by the University of Aveiro. Adjunct professor at Escola Superior Aveiro Norte - University of Aveiro with professional and scientific activity in the areas of mechanical engineering, sub areas of mechanical technology, automation, robotics and product development. He is currently director of the professional higher education course in mechatronic and production systems and professor of disciplines in the areas of equipment design, product development and CAD modelling in ESAN degrees. As a researcher he participates in several R&D and innovation projects in collaboration with companies, with emphasis on the development of industrial equipment and process automation, with a special focus on incremental sheet metal stamping and currently in the industrial investigation of applications and control software for laser systems and in the development, production and optimization of parts.
