2016/03/05 - 2016/03/12 Erasmus+ "Matters of Matter - Future Materials in Science Education", funded by the European Union, was developed between schools from Ireland, Italy, Portugal, and Germany. The project focused on innovative materials that are being developed to enhance science education such as thermochromic paints. Simone C. Fernandes participated as a spokesperson from Portugal for two years and in the 4th Meeting in Germany, where they visited the University of Bremen and worked on projects regarding biosensors, "smart houses", or energy harvesting.
