I am Lecturer at the School of Law, University of Strathclyde in Glasgow, Scotland; Scientific Fellow at the Memory and Justice Research Center in Vilnius; and Scientific Board Member at CRIR – Centre for Research on International Relations. I am also a Fellow of Higher Education Academy (FHEA). A legal theoretician of culture, my main interests lie at the intersections of law and memory, sociology of law, cultural heritage law and the law of Hong Kong and Macau SARs, although I also explore international law and political science in the research. An alumnus of the International Postdoctoral Programme (IPP) at CEBRAP – Brazilian Center of Analysis and Planning in São Paulo, Brazil, so far, I have participated with a paper in over 50 conferences and have over 30 publications, including the monograph “Intersections of Law and Memory: Influencing Perceptions of the Past” (Routledge 2024), based on my doctorate. I am also the creator and first Editor-in-chief of “McGill GLSA Research Series” (2021), as well as a co-organiser of several international conferences, including the ongoing international seminar “Heritage in War and Peace”, currently (2024) at its fourth edition. I speak four languages fluently – Polish, English, French and Portuguese – and have a working knowledge of German, Hungarian and Latin. I am also a member of the British Socio-Legal Studies Association (SLSA), Canadian Law and Society Association (ACDS/CLSA), Open Council of Europe Academic Networks (OCEAN), as well the Richard Wagner Society of Wroclaw, where I serve as the Board Member responsible for International Relations, and CompaRes - International Society for Iberian-Slavonic Studies, where I serve as Vice-President.
