Jorge Andraz is Full Professor of Economics at the University of Algarve, Faculty of Economics, and full integrated member of the regional branch of the Centre for Advanced Studies in Management and Economics at the University of Algarve (CEFAGE-UAlg). He holds a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Algarve, a MA in Economics and Management Sciences from the University of Algarve and a BA in Economics from the Lisbon Catholic University. He is currently the Coordinator of the Technical Unit of the Algarve Sustainable Tourism Observatory. His main research interests include Applied Microeconometrics, Applied Macroeconomics, Financial Economics,Tourism and Public Policies Impact Analysis. He has authored (or co-authored) more than 40 articles or chapters, including publications in the International Regional Science Review, Journal of Nonprofit & Public Sector Marketing, Empirical Economics, Portuguese Economic Journal, Tourism Management, Tourism Economics, Journal of International Business and Economics, Applied Economic Letters, Journal of Economic Development, Economic Issues, Annals of Regional Science, International Economic Journal and the Journal of Economic Development. He has also developed supervision activities of master dissertations, doctoral thesis and post-doctoral projects. He has been involved in several research projects with national and international funding and he has acted as a reviewer/evaluator for several international scientific journals.
