António Carneiro da Frada de Sousa

António Carneiro da Frada de Sousa studied Law at the law School of the Portuguese Catholic University (Licenciatura - LL.B. and Doutoramento - Ph.D.), at the Law School of the University of Coimbra (Mestrado) and at the Law School of the University of Chicago (LL.M.) where he was Fulbright student in 1999-2000. Since 1993 he has been Assistant and then Lecturer at the Law School of the Catholic University in Porto teaching courses and seminars on Property Law, History of the Law, General Theory of the Law of Obligations and mainly on Private International Law and European Union Law. From 2003 to 2007 he was référendaire in the Chambers of Advocate General Miguel Poiares Maduro in the European Court of Justice (Luxembourg) and, from 2013 to 2015, served as legal advisor to the Minister in the Cabinet of the Prime Minister and for Regional Development. From 2015 to 2021 he was of counsel at Gama Glória, a Lisbon Law Firm, partner of the Albright, Stonebridge Group.
