Ana Sofia Rodrigues is a science and project manager at Universidade de Coimbra, Faculdade de Medicina. Although she has only started her career as a Science Manager in 2020, she has supported over 90 grant applications for different funding schemes and funding entities, both International and National. Her management support activities during pre-award and post- award to researchers, benefit with a perspective of a former researcher with the objectivity and integrated vision that a Science and Project Manager must have. Her scientific background, routed in a Bachelor degree in Biology, a Masters degree in Cellular Biology and a PhD in Biomedicine and Experimental Biology, provided her with skills not only at project coordination/management and mentoring students, but also, in implementing and optimizing different processes with an efficient resolution of the roadblocks that appeared along the way. Throughout this journey not only she had to master literature from different areas of research but also successfully implement a Stem Cell laboratory from scratch in the middle of her PhD representing a major challenge. Ana Sofia's career counts with almost twelve years of experience echoed in 16 peer reviewed papers, 2 book chapters and 7 oral communications besides several poster communications in a total of 524 citations (Scopus ID24353179000) and an h index of 12 (in google scholar).
