João Manuel Paço Quesado Delgado is graduated in Chemical Engineering at Universidade do Porto-Faculdade de Engenharia (FEUP) in 1995/05/28 and completed a Ph.D. degree in Chemical Engineering at FEUP in 2002/05/17. He was an Auxiliary Researcher (2007-2012) in CEC-Centro de Estudos da Construção at Civil Engineering (DEC), FEUP, Post-Doc between 2013 and 2017, Researcher (DL57/2016) between 2018 and 2021 and Auxiliary Researcher (CEEC-IND) since 2021, both in CONSTRUCT at DEC, FEUP. Delgado has an h-index equal to 21 in Scopus database, approx. 175 papers in International peer-reviewed journals (93 in ISI-Journals + 4 in review process) and more than 1590 citations. He is a member of CONSTRUCT Advisory Board for having one of the 10 most relevant CV's. He is author of 16 international books, 52 book chapters in international books, invited editor of 27 international books, invited editor of 41 special issues in international journals, invited speaker of 5 lectures and more than 135 papers in international conferences. He completed the supervision of 3 Ph.D. theses (more 2 ongoing), 3 PosDoc and 19 MSc theses. He is the FEUP PI of the research project "¿BlueWoodenHouse - Modular Off-Grid Wooden House and Low Water Consumption ¿ (POCI-01-0247-FEDER-047157), proposed by the company Black Oak Company, Lda, co-funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), through the Operational Programme for Competitiveness and Internationalization (COMPETE 2020), under the Portugal 2020 Partnership Agreement, and Co-PI of the FCT Project "Thermal Blocks 3D Printing¿ (MIT-EXPL/TDI/0041/2019), FCT, proposed by Faculdade de Engenharia da Universidade do Porto, with a participation of ITeCons, Coimbra. He was involved in the international project Annex 55 (IEA-EXCO), 2 national projects funded by FCT (EXPL-ECM/COM/1999/2013 and PTDC/ECM-COM/3080/2012) and in 1 QREN CoPromotion project. In 2019, he was invited for Advisory and Technical-Scientific Support in the Applied Research Project of Portuguese Environmental Fund ¿Rehabilitation as a Rule¿; whose proposals resulted in Decree-Law 95/2019 (Regulation 297/2019). He is the moderator of Portuguese/Spain WUFI 1D Pro, developed by Fraunhofer Institute. Delgado is editor-in-chief of the Journal of Building Pathology and Rehabilitation (ISSN: 2365-3169) & Book Series: Building Pathology and Rehabilitation (ISSN: 2194-9832), all published by Springer; and Lead Guest Editor of annual Special Issue: Advances in Building Technologies and Construction Materials, of Advances in Materials Science and Engineering, IF=1.299. Since 2009 he is co-chairman of the international conference of Diffusion in Solids and Liquids (DSL), executive committee member of 1st International Symposium on Building Pathology (ISBP-2015), he organized other 5 international conferences: 12th International Conference on Building Materials and Components (DBMC-2011), WUFI-2010, 3rd-5th International Conference on Building Pathology and Rehabilitation (PATORREB); the national conference CONSTRUÇÃO-2018; and he organized approx. 20 Special Sessions at international conferences. He received the award for the supervision of the best PhD thesis of Civil Engineering-FEUP (2012) and since 2009 received regularity the Scientific Recognition Award or Scientific Encouraging Award by FEUP.
