Susana Correia completed her PhD in Linguistics in 2010 at the University of Lisbon, School of Arts and Humanities. She is an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities at NOVA University of Lisbon, where she teaches graduate and undergraduate courses in Linguistics (Psycholinguistics, Phonology, Language Acquisition and Language Disorders, Methods in Language Teaching, Experimental Methods in Language Acquisition Research, Foreign Language Didactics). Susana Correia directs the Portuguese as a Foreign Language programme at NOVA FCSH. She is also author and coauthor in many articles published in national and international journals and participated in several research projects. She collaborates with national and international research teams on projects related to L1 and L2 acquisition, language testing, language teaching and learning and phonology (Universidade de Lisboa, Universidade Estadual do Sudoeste da Bahia, Lancaster University, Tübingen University, and Vrije Universiteit Brussel).
