Patrick Joseph Kennedy

I am a life scientist with many years of experience in R&D and have excelled in both industry and academia. I specialize in drug discovery/delivery and in nucleic acid- and protein-based biologics as therapeutics or diagnostics in many disease areas (e.g. inflammation, diabetes, neurological disorders and beyond). During the last decade, my focus has been on targeted drug delivery, incorporating polymeric nanoparticles decorated with antibodies or RNA aptamers, and on the lead identification and characterization of novel siRNAs for the treatment/diagnosis/prevention of cancer, glaucoma and COVID-19. I am adaptable, methodical and multi-disciplinary, and I am highly control-driven during experimental design. I have strong experience in colleague supervision/training, lab management and beyond. My current interests lie in exploiting cutting-edge biotechnologies (e.g. intracellular targeted protein/mRNA degraders) and integrating my scientific and technical expertise with that of my colleagues/collaborators to successfully progress the visions of the company or institution.
