Mitchell, Geoffrey Robert. Completed the Mestrado in Master of Science in 1979/11/28 by London Guildhall University, Doctor of Philosophy in Doctor of Philosophy in 1983/06/01 by University of Cambridge and the Council for National Academic Awards (CNAA). He is a Fellow of the Institute of Physics (UK) and the a Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry (UK) underlining his multidisciplinary approach to science. He was Professor of Polymer Science at the University of Reading UK and the founding director of the Polymer Science Centre and founding director of the Centre for Advanced Microscopy and Emeritus Professor at the Reading. He is an international expert of the use of x-ray and neutron scattering in the study of polymers. He is a strong advocate of outreach activities and taking science to schools and societies.
