Diogo Casanova currently serves as the Vice-Rector for Innovation, Quality and Digital Transformation at Universidade Aberta in Portugal. Previously, he held the position of Associate Professor at the University of West London, where he also served as the Director of the Department of Education and Educational Technology. With a wealth of experience, he has successfully led institutional projects and actively participated in nationally and internationally funded initiatives focused on online learning and teaching. Diogo's research interests centre around the design of learning spaces, online assessment and feedback, and educational technology. He is a full member of the Distance Education and Elearning Laboratory (LE@D) and a collaborator of the CIDTFF Research Centre. Additionally, he contributes as a member of the thematic commission for distance learning at A3ES. His substantial contributions to the field are evident through extensive publications in the area of Distance Education and Digital Technologies, highlighting his commitment to advancing education through research and innovation.
