Duarte Almeida completed the Master’s degree in Biomedical Materials and Devices in December 2022 at the University of Aveiro, where since September 2023 he has been pursuing a PhD in Nanosciences and Nanotechnology. He worked as a Research Fellow in the CarboNCT project until October 2024, where he obtained a national PhD grant by the Portuguese Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT). Currently, he is a Double-PhD candidate in partnership with the University Medical Centre of Groningen (UMCG) in the Netherlands, where he works in the areas of Biomaterials and Biomedical Technology.
