Joana is Auxiliary Researcher at the Life and Health Sciences Research Institute, University of Minho, in Portugal since 2017. Joana completed the Integrated Master in Biomedical Engineering in 2007 by Universidade Nova de Lisboa, Portugal and a PhD in Theoretical and Computational Neuroscience in 2012 by the Universitat Pompeu Fabra, Spain and subsequently did a postdoc at the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Oxford, UK.
