Scientific expedition

Activity description Institution / Organization
2014/05/01 - 2014/07/31 I collaborated with Prof. Gordon Awandare at the University of Ghana to organize a field project to collect and characterize blood samples from children diagnosed with uncomplicated and severe malaria in three hospitals in Ghana. I successfully collected approximately 120 samples in 3 months. These samples have been useful in on-going studies in the Rowe lab (University of Edinburgh) and in my C1s in Malaria project.
