Eduardo Lopes got his BSc degree in Biochemistry in 2021 at the University of Coimbra. He also got a Msc degree in Cellular and Molecular Biology at the University of Coimbra, concluded in September 2023. His master's dissertation, focused on the peripheral crosstalk between NPY and Dopaminergic system and the relevance of these interactions to the whole-body metabolism. He is second author of a review paper focused on elucidating the relationship between neuropeptide Y and mitochondria in Biomedicine (10.3390/biomedicines11020446). He has participated in international meetings, namely the European Congress of Clinical Investigation (ESCI) in 2023, and the annual meeting of the European Association for the study of Diabetes, the two as an author of an oral communication. Regarding national congresses, Eduardo also presented an oral communication at the Portuguese Congress of Diabetes in 2023 and at the Portuguese Congress of Diabetes in 2024 .
