Sara Jacinta Godinho Salgado concluded the Integrated Master in Pharmaceutical Sciences at the Faculty of Pharmacy of the University of Porto in 22/09/2022. She attended continuing education courses during her academic career, particularly in the field of Pharmaceutical and Medicinal Chemistry, Toxicology, Digital health, Pharmacognosy, and Microbiology. In her 4th year of the Integrated Master in Pharmaceutical Sciences, she was involved in the Research Project (Projeto I, FFUP) at Laboratório de Química Orgânica e Farmacêutica (LQOF). From September 2020 to September 2021 she collaborated in the research activities underway at LQOF, having developed work on synthesis, purification, and structural elucidation of bioactive substances. She was an intern in Hospital Pharmacy at Centro Hospitalar Universitário do Porto (January-February 2022) and at Community Pharmacy at Farmácia Aveirense (March-September 2022). Since January 2022, she has been a research team member in the project 'Sustainable antifouling agents: from grape wastes to the sea with the green chemistry leading the way' at the Interdisciplinary Center for Marine and Environmental Research at the University of Porto (CIIMAR). In the summer of 2022, she was a monitor at the Summer Junior University of Porto, which involved the preparation of new pedagogical material and the teaching of laboratory techniques of Organic and Pharmaceutical Chemistry to high school students. From November 2022, she is a PhD student in Pharmaceutical Sciences (Pharmaceutical and Medicinal Chemistry) at Faculty of Pharmacy of the University of Porto. She participated in several scientific congresses, of which the presentation of poster communication at the XXVI Encontro Galego-Português de Química deserves to be highlighted. Together with her advisor Marta-Correia-da-Silva and CeNTI ( Centre for Nanotechnology and Smart Materials), she won the second prize of the Business Ignition Program (BIP) PROOF of the University of Porto in 2022.
