Bruno Esteves has completed his MsC in Environmental Engineering in 2014 at the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Porto (FEUP). Between 06/2016 and 09/2017 he took part in the structural project of the associated laboratory LEPABE (ref. LEPABE-2-ECO-INNOVATION, budget of 2,550 000.00EUR) as a research fellow. At the end of 2017, he obtained a mixed doctoral scholarship funded by FCT, with the work project entitled "Innovative approach for olive mill wastewater complaint: integrated heterogeneous Fenton oxidation using olive mill solid residues and membrane filtration processes", which was developed jointly between FEUP/LEPABE and the University of Granada, in Spain. He completed his PhD in Environmental Engineering on 04/2022, with the Cum Laude distinction awarded by the same institution, simultaneously obtaining the degree of "Doctor por la Universidad de Granada", also with Cum Laude distinction. Between 05/2022 - 06/2023, he integrated the associated laboratory LSRE-LCM as a postdoctoral researcher of the project "HEALTHY WATERS - Identification, Elimination, Social Awareness and Education of Water Chemical and Biological Micropollutants with Health and Environmental Implications" (budget of 588,266.14 EUR). Since 10/2023 he has joined the Fraunhofer Center for Advanced Water, Energy and Resource Management – AWAM as a Senior Scientist. During his academic and scientific career, he has published (always as first author) 9 articles in specialized journals (Q1/Q2) and 1 book chapter, accumulating a total of 244 citations (corresponding to an h-index of 8). He works in the areas of Engineering Sciences and Technologies with an emphasis on Environmental Engineering and Chemical Engineering.
