Cândida Gonçalves, MS degree in Cardiovascular Physiopathology at Faculdade Medicina Universidade do Porto (FMUP)/ UniC- Cardiovascular R&D Centre. Bachelor´s degree in nursing from Escola Superior de Enfermagem de Lisboa (2014-2018). Postgraduate in Sports Nursing, from Universidade Católica Portuguesa- Escola de Enfermagem (2020-2021). I am currently working at UnIC- Cardiovascular R&D Centre from FMUP as an investigator nurse and study coordinator, supporting the scientific projects and clinical trials ongoing at the Surgery and Physiopathology department. In my role, my primary responsibilities are recruiting participants for different research projects ongoing in the department, gathering and recording clinical data via questionnaires, collecting and processing samples (such as blood and urine), conducting diagnostic exams, making follow-up calls to participants, entering data into clinical databases and analyzing statistical data using SPSS or R.
