Marta Esteves obtained her PhD in Biomedicine at University of Beira Interior - Health Sciences Research Centre (CICS-UBI), under the supervision of Dr. Liliana Bernardino and co-supervision of Dr. Lino Ferreira (Center for Neuroscience and Cell Biology, University of Coimbra, Portugal), evaluating the putative therapeutic potential of microRNA-124-enriched mononuclear exosomes in a context of Parkinson's disease.
