Susana Q Lima completed her PhD under the supervision of Gero Miesenbock in the Programa Gulbenkian de Doutoramento em Biologia e Medicina and defended her thesis in 2005 at Universidade de Lisboa. She worked as a postdoctoral fellow with Anthony Zador in Cold Spring Harbor, where she studied the auditory system. In 2008 she moved to the Champalimaud Neuroscience Programme as a Research Fellow, studying mate choice in rodents. Since 2012 she is Principal Investigator in Fundação Champalimaud and her lab is focused on studying sexual behavior in mice.
