Humberto Pereira holds a PhD in Marine Science, Technology, and Management from the University of Aveiro, Portugal, where he currently serves as a senior technician in the Physics Department. His research focuses on the integration and interrelation of oceanic, atmospheric, and environmental processes, with a particular emphasis on climate change and its impact on society. His professional experience includes participation in numerous oceanographic campaigns across diverse systems, expertise in the preparation and deployment of a variety of sampling equipment (including current meters, multi-parameter sounders, depth sounders, CTDs, ADCPs, and Rosette samplers), and the operation and maintenance of atmospheric monitoring equipment. This experience has provided him with extensive knowledge in the acquisition and analysis of physical oceanographic and meteorological data. From 2019 to 2022, he served as a laboratory lecturer for three courses (Elements of Physics, Mechanics, and Physics for Earth Sciences) within the University of Aveiro's Physics Department.
