Joana Baço is an integrated researcher at CHAM - Centre for the Humanities, NOVA FCSH. She is a member of the ERC Synergy Grant 4-OCEANS team - Human History of Marine Life. Executive coordinator of the UNESCO Chair "Ocean's Cultural Heritage" and member of the Landscape Archaeology research group. Her areas of research focus on the past of the oceans, maritime history and archaeology, interactions between humans and non-humans, photogrammetry and the study of primitive vessels.
