My exploration of Biotechnology has been transformative, with a pivotal moment occurring during a 4-month research initiation scholarship. Delving into the intricacies of my passion solidified my commitment to the field, laying the foundation for my academic pursuits. Currently enrolled in the Masters in Biomedical Research at the Faculdade de Medicina of the University of Lisbon in parallel with the Institute of Molecular Medicine - João Lobo Antunes, I explore the four major areas of biomedical research (cell biology and cancer, neurosciences, cardiovascular biology, and infection and immunity). My academic journey integrates practical experiences, providing hands-on exposure to cutting-edge research. This approach has equipped me with a multifaceted skill set, preparing me for dynamic challenges in the field. Armed with a solid Biotechnology foundation and immersed in the Masters in Biomedical Research, I transcend the role of a mere researcher.
