In 2006 I received my graduation in Chemical Engineering from the Polytechnic Institute of Bragança- High School of Technology and Management of Bragança (ESTiG). After this period, I started hmy industrial internship in the North Industrial Corporation (C.I.N), a national reference industry of paints, and at same time completed my MSc degree, also in Chemical Engineering (2008) by same Institution. In April of 2009 I became a researcher at the University of Aveiro in collaboration with Polytechnic Institute of Bragança, under the financed project OLIVPOL (Polyurethane foams and thermoplastic composites from oxypropylated olive-stones). Through this period, I had developed skills in several fields, namely, in the synthesis of polyols from olive-stones residues, used on the synthesis polyurethane foams and composites materials, as well as, to synthesise polyesters and polyurethanes. From 2011 to 2014, CICECO-University of Aveiro remained my host institution, participating in several QREN or Portugal2020 financed projects, with the biomass or vegetable oils valorisation as the main objective, to further development of new renewable polyesters and polyurethane foams, novel biomaterials and compounds, as well as more eco-friendly plasticisers for PVC formulations. I started my PhD in Sustainable Chemistry in 2014, holding one of the ten PhD scholarships attributed by the same Doctoral programme, focused on development of more sustainable polymers and composite materials based on 2,5-furandicarboxylic acid. From April of 2019, a became Post-Doc researcher at CICECO under the InPacTus project, a national project featuring biomass and specifically eucalyptus valorisation. During this period of ten years, I had the possibility to develop skills in different chemical synthesis, polymers and composites preparation, and their deep characterisation through numerous techniques. I am the co-author of 9 peer-reviewed papers in medium or high impact factor journals, 1 highly cited (top 1%) and also a cover paper, 1 book chapter and 1 conference proceeding, and dissemination my work through >15 in prestigious conferences. My publications score more than 700 citations with a h-index of 8 (excluding self-citations) in Scopus database (02/2021). I also had been supporting the supervision of MSc and BSc students, and participated in other activities like Chemistry Olympiads as supervisor of young students. My current scientific interests are focusing on the development of new innovative materials based on renewable resources produced through sustainable processes.
