Ana Patrícia Cuco concluded her PhD in Biology, specialization of Ecology, Biodiversity and Ecosystem Management in March 2017 (University of Aveiro). She has a Master degree in Toxicology and Ecotoxicology (concluded in July 2008) and a Degree in Biology (concluded in July 2007), both from University of Aveiro. Currently, she is a Science and Technology Manager in University of Aveiro, under “ILLIANCE” project supported by the PRR - Portuguese Recovery and Resilience Plan and by NextGenerationEU. || Her research resulted in 11 publications (5 as first author, 1 as senior author), mostly in top journals, some in collaboration with an international consultant (from IGB Berlin). She also presented her work in international congresses (11 poster and 6 oral communications) and was invited as speaker for many Workshops and Webinars. As a recognition of these results, her PhD thesis was selected by AIL as one of the two best PhD theses defended in Portugal (2017-2018) and was as a candidate for the Award for the best PhD Dissertation in Freshwater Sciences in Europe, organized by EFFS | She participated in outreach activites, as monitor in public dissemination activities such as Ciência Viva - Academia de Verão and organized online and live activities for European Researcher´s Night 2020 and 2021. She also organized and participated as speaker in Workshops and Webinars developed under the FunG-Eye project, in which she was a contracted Junior Researcher and Workshops for post-grad students. || She supervised 1 BSc and co-supervised 4 Bachelor students (completed), and is currently co-supervising 2 MSc students. Participated in 4 projects as a researcher, apllied for FCT projects and Scientific Employment calls and participated actively as a reviewer for international peer reviewed journals. She was an Invited Assistant Professor in School of Sciences, University of Minho in 2022 and was also invited as main arguer for 4 MSc and 5 BSc jury of academic degrees. || Her current work focus on ecotoxicology, host-parasite interactions, fungicide contamination, freshwater ecosystems, multiple environmental stressors and ecosystem processes.
