Tiago Miguel Ferreira is an MSc in Civil Engineering by the University of Aveiro, postgraduate in Rehabilitation of Built Heritage by the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Porto and Ph.D. in Civil Engineering by the University of Aveiro. He developed a thesis on the assessment of the out-of-plane seismic behavior of stone masonry walls. His research domains include the seismic vulnerability assessment of old buildings, the evaluation, and mitigation of urban risks and the structural safety assessment and retrofit of ancient stone masonry buildings. He is currently a Postdoc researcher at the Institute for Sustainability and Innovation in Structural Engineering (ISISE) of the University of Minho, invited Assistant Professor at the Department of Civil Engineering of the University of Coimbra and Associate Editor of Conservar Património, a SCOPUS and Web-of-Science indexed journal dedicated to heritage studies. He is the author of more than 150 scientific and technical publications, including 46 articles in international peer-reviewed journals, 36 of these listed in Science Citation Index (SCI). He has currently 397 citations in Scopus (h-index of 12), more than 28,000 reads in ResearchGate (RG Score of 26.39; top 83%), and 784 citations in Google Scholar (h-index of 15). A more detailed analysis of his research outputs in the last 5 years reveals notable values: 33 articles published in SCI listed journals (6.6 articles per year in average) and 369 citations (in Scopus); 2 articles in the top 3 most cited articles of J. Risk Res. (doi: 10.1080/13669877.2014.988285) and Int. J. Archit. Herit. (10.1080/15583058.2014.885996), and 1 in the top 10 most cited of J. Cult. Herit. (10.1016/j.culher.2014.03.004). In the last years, he has acted as a reviewer for more than 20 international listed journals in over 100 manuscripts, having been awarded in 2017 by Eng. Struct. for his Outstanding Contribution in Reviewing. His supervision performance in the last three years is also worthy of note, with 14 MSc dissertations completed (70% foreign students). He is currently supervising 6 Ph.D. students (75% foreign).
