Isabel C. Lisboa holds a PhD in Basic Psychology (subarea Developmental Psychology) from the University of Minho since 2011. Isabel's research interests encompass various areas, including Perception & Interaction, Developmental Psychology, Neurodevelopment, Social-Cognition, Clinical Psychology, Human Factors, Usability and Ergonomics. During her PhD, Isabel investigated the development of human motion perception in infants. She applied both classical behavioral measures based on infants' looking behavior, and functional near infrared spectroscopy (fNIRS) - a recent neuroimaging technique especially suited for infants. Isabel was also a Visiting Researcher at Lancaster University (UK) - one of the top 10 best Universities in the UK-, and a Visiting Scholar at the Department of Psychological and Brain Sciences, Indiana University, Bloomington (USA). Over the years, Isabel has been involved in several international R&D projects with competitive funding. She participated in 7 R&D founded projects in the field of Developmental Psychology and Perception & Interaction. She integrated the EasyRide and AURORA projects research team in one of the largest partnerships between industry (BOSCH Car Multimedia) and academia supported by the European Union. Isabel also attracted funding: she was awarded with PhD fellowship by FCT in 2015, she is now (co)author and team member of an FCT founded project (SOCIALMOTION, PTDC/PSI-GER/2463/2021) and Co-PI of a Bial-funded project (UnderVib). Currently, she is an external collaborator at the Masters in Systemic and Health Clinical Psychology at University of Coimbra (where she supervises the work of several master and PhD students) and is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at UNINOVA-CTS (NOVA University Lisbon).
