Degree and master's degree in Environmental Engineering from The School of Agriculture (University of Lisbon) in the field of bioenergy and waste management processes, including anaerobic digestion of livestock effluents, wastewater treatment plant sludge and food waste. Took part in the national project "ProEnergy - Novos produtos alimentares e bioenergia a partir de frutos de baixo valor comercial e resíduos agroindustriais", which aimed to promote a new vision in organic waste management and develop technologies to create innovative products in the food industry. Started the PhD in July 2021, currently working on the valorisation of fruit and vegetable waste with the aim of improving the anaerobic digestion process in wastewater treatment plants.
