David Veloso Larraz is a PhD candidate at the Instituto de Ciências Sociais of the University of Lisboa. He was a Director General of Spanish Institute of Youth (INJUVE). He holds a Master in Public Policies, Urban Management and Participatory Research for a Local Development. Between 2019 and 2022, he has been a researcher in the project POPULUS: Rethinking populism. He uses qualitative methods to study collective action in the political field. More specifically, he investigates how political parties articulates populism, with a focus on his strategies. His current project include research on populism in Portugal and Uruguay.
