Bárbara Pereira has a graduation degree in Biochemistry (2017) and a master’s degree in Clinical Biochemistry (2019) both by the University of Aveiro (UA, Portugal). Her master thesis was devoted to the development of biopolymeric microneedles for interstitial fluid extraction. Currently, she is a research fellow of the European Project GRETE at BioPol4Fun Group from CICECO - Aveiro Institute of Materials. BPereira is the author of 2 SCI papers and 2 poster communications in national and international conferences and participated in the local organization committee of the 6th EPNOE International Polysaccharide Conference (October 21-25, 2019, Aveiro, Portugal). Her research interests include the development of biomaterials for biomedical applications (e.g. drug delivery, diagnostic and disease monitoring) and the sustainable use of biopolymers.
