Martin Beal holds a Doctorate in Behavioural Biology from Instituto Universitário de Ciências Psicológicas Sociais e da Vida, Portugal, a Master's degree in Animal Ecology from Lunds universitet Biologiska institutionen, Sweden, and a Bachelor's degree in Wildlife Biology from Ohio University, USA. With a focus on biology, particularly in the fields of ecology, biodiversity conservation, and marine biology, Martin has published 11 articles in academic journals and has been recognized with 1 award and two graduation honors (Magna Cum Laude). As a PhD Student Fellow, Martin participated in the Marie Curie training project Inspire4Nature. His research interests include bird migration, migratory species, animal movement and tracking, and the science-policy interface.
