Cuau Marine

I am a PhD student focusing on the discovery of new antimicrobial compounds from marine cyanobacteria collected in Morocco and Cape Verde, in the Leão Laboratory of CIIMAR (Interdisciplinary Centre of Marine and Environmental Research, Portugal) and in the Gerwick Laboratory of Scripps Institution of Oceanography (University of California San Diego, USA). I am currently enrolled in the doctoral program in marine biotechnology and aquaculture (University of Porto, Portugal), and I hold a BSc in Pharmaceutical Sciences (University of Poitiers, France) as well as a double MSc degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences (U. Poitiers, France) and in Marine Biotechnology (University of La Rochelle, France). Before starting my PhD, I worked as a research assistant in CIIMAR, did several internships in renown marine biotechnology institutes such as HEMARINA (France) and IFREMER (French National Institute for Ocean Science) and had the opportunity to valorize my work through the publication of 3 posters presented at international conferences and 1 review published in FEMS Microbiology Reviews.
