José Carlos Sá is currently an Adjunct Professor at ISEP-IPP, performing teaching duties since 2016. He has a Master's degree in Industrial Engineering - option: Quality, Safety and Maintenance, having developed his master's thesis in the area of Lean Management (University of Minho - 2010). He graduated in Production Engineering (Pre-Bologna), having done his internship through the ERASMUS Programme at the University of Galway (University of Minho - 1998). In July 2015, as a result of the recognition of his professional path in the area of Quality Management, and the work developed, with the title "Quality Certification and Continuous Improvement", is awarded by the Polytechnic Institute of Viana do Castelo, after public examination, in accordance with the provisions of Decree-Law 206/2009 of 31 August, the Title of Specialist in the area of Quality Management. In July 2014 he obtained the IRCA Lead Auditor certificate (Quality Management Systems (QMS) Lead Auditor IRCA), and in March 2015 he was awarded the Professional Qualification level of Senior Member by the Ordem dos Engenheiros. He has over 20 years of industry experience as a Production Director, Quality Director and consultant. He has held positions in Production Planning, Process Control and Quality Management in a multinational company and in several national SMEs. He is currently a member of the Editorial Advisory Board of the journal "Technological Sustainability" (Emerald) and member of the Editorial Board of the Journal of Applied Research on Industrial Engineering. He is also a member of the Review Board of the International Journal of Environmental Research and Public Health (MDPI)". He has more than 70 published articles (WOS+SCOPUS).
