I almost five years of research experience at the Research Group on Intelligent Engineering and Computing for Advanced Innovation and Development (GECAD). During this time, I obtained my Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering (final grade 15/20) in 2019 and my Master's degree in Electrical Engineering — Power Systems (final grade 18/20) in 2023, with distinction from the Polytechnic Institute of Porto, School of Engineering (ISEP). My journey as a GECAD researcher was marked by active participation in four significant national and international projects. These include the Smart Prognosis of Energy with Allocation of Resources (SPEAR) project (NORTE-01-0247-FEDER-040224) from September 2019 to December 2020; the Trustworthy and Smart Communities of Cyber-Physical Systems (TIoCPS) project (POCI-01-0247-FEDER-046182) from December 2020 to 2022; the Federated AI Platform for Industrial Technologies (F4Itech) (POCI-01-0247-FEDER-181419) from December 2022 to June 2023, and the ongoing Next Generation Storage (NGS) (PRR C644936001-00000045) from June 2023 to the present. My research efforts have been recognized through the publication of 17 scientific articles(including a publicly accessible dataset). These include five conference articles, such as IEEE SEST 2019, ICREN 2020, IEEE EEEIC 2023, and IEEE ISGT Europe 2023, where one of my papers was accepted for presentation in IEEE MELECON 2024. Additionally, I have published nine journal articles, including one in Energies (IF: 3.2, 2022), IEEE Access (IF: 3.9, 2023), Data in Brief (IF: 1.2, 2022), and two in Energy Reports (IF: 6.87, 2020), Electronics (IF: 2.9, 2022) and IFAC-PaperOnLine. Moreover, I have published two book chapters and one public dataset in Zenodo, further solidifying my standing in the academic community. In addition to my publications, I have been invited to review four scientific papers, participated in several seminars and workshops, and presented three oral presentations at international conferences, one at IEEE EEEIC 2023 and two at ICEER 2020. I was awarded the best presentation in one of the latter.
