Sofia Silva-Ribeiro is a Clinical and Health Psychologist holding a PhD in Health Psychology from ISCTE-IUL, which she completed with distinction. She specialises in the development of theory- and evidence-based digital interventions aimed at promoting adjustment to chronic diseases, most notably Systemic Lupus Erythematosus. Her methodological expertise is comprehensive, encompassing systematic reviews, meta-analyses, qualitative interviews, and quantitative studies, alongside practical experience in conducting usability tests and applying behaviour change techniques. Currently serving as a Research Assistant at the NOVA National School of Public Health, working on different European Projects. Her professional background also includes clinical practice, conducting individual and group therapy for populations living with chronic illnesses, and significant experience in community intervention and team coordination as a former Social Impact Manager at U.DREAM Portugal. Sofia is highly engaged in the international scientific community, contributing to major research projects with the European Reference Network (ERN) ReCONNET and the OMERACT SLE Working Group. Furthermore, she is a dedicated educator and science communicator; she regularly serves as a guest lecturer on digital health interventions at several Portuguese universities and actively collaborates with patient associations, media outlets, and pharmaceutical initiatives to promote public health literacy.
