Lina Lourenço-Gomes received her PhD in Economic Sciences, in the area of Quantitative Methods Applied to Economics, from the University of Minho in 2010. She is currently Full Professor in Economics in the Department of Economics, Sociology and Management at the University of Trás-os-Montes and Alto Douro (UTAD) and an integrated member of the Centre for Transdisciplinary Studies for Development (CETRAD) at the same university, where she is Deputy Scientific Coordinator of the "Innovation Ecosystems and Markets" Research Group. From 2017 to 2020, she held the position of Director of the Economics Degree programme at UTAD. In 2019 and 2020, she was a member of the Scientific Council of the School of Humanities and Social Sciences. Over more than 20 years at UTAD, she has taught undergraduate, master's and doctoral programmes. He has taken part in several research projects, two of which were funded by the Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT). Her research focuses on the economics of culture, applied microeconomics and non-market valuation. In the Scopus database, his profile includes 33 publications (H-index of 13). Her career has also included various outreach activities with the community. She has taken part in various projects for the valorisation and transfer of knowledge through consultancy for public and private entities, such as the Northern Regional Coordination and Development Commission (CCDR-N), the UNESCO National Commission, the Douro and Port Wine Institute (IVDP), involving issues such as: The strategic direction for the Port and Douro wine sector; Evaluation of the Value of the UNESCO Chancel; Evaluation of the State of Conservation of the Alto Douro Wine Region Estate; Evaluation of the Pacts for Territorial Development and Cohesion; Evaluation of the Integrated Territorial Development Strategies (EIDT) of the Northern Region; and Evaluation of the Impacts of the Casa de Mateus Music Festival.
