Maria Manuel Cruz Silva completed the Doutoramento em Farmácia in 2005 by Universidade de Coimbra Faculdade de Farmácia, in collaboration with the CNR Milan, Italy. Before, she completed the Mestrado em Tecnologias do Medicamento in 1998 by Universidade de Coimbra Faculdade de Farmácia and Licenciatura em Ciências Farmacêuticas in 1995 by Universidade de Coimbra Faculdade de Farmácia. Maria Manuel Cruz Silva is co-founder of the start-up Chem4Pharma, funded on 2015 by the Agência Nacional de Inovação in a project titled Drugs2CAD. Maria Manuel Cruz Silva is Assistant Professor with tenure in the Universidade de Coimbra, Faculdade de Farmácia and Researcher in CNC.IBILI. As Assistant Professor in Faculdade de Farmácia she teaches several subjects in the area of Pharmaceutical Chemistry. Her scientific interests are in the area of Medicinal Chemistry, aiming at the rational design and synthesis of novel bioactive compounds. On 2019 integrated the Neuroendocrinology and Aging Group headed by Cláudia Cavadas, aiming at a more collaborative and interdisciplinary research in the interface of medicinal chemistry and neurobiology. Published 23 articles in scientific journals with referee, and three book chapters. Supervises and Co-supervises 4 PhD theses and 11 MSc dissertations. Participated as Researcher in 4 projects. In her professional activities interacted with 48 collaborators co-authorship of scientific papers.
