Atualmente, é doutorando em formação final em Ciências Biomédicas na Universidade do Algarve. Licenciado em Biologia Aplicada pela Universidade do Minho e Mestre em Ciências da Saúde pela Escola de Medicina da mesma universidade. Durante o mestrado, desenvolveu um projeto com o objetivo de desenvolver um produto biológico terapêutico a fim de promover a regeneração celular em contexto de lesão na medula espinhal. Possui experiência em diversas técnicas laboratoriais, incluindo cultura de células, extração de exossomas e experiência com células mesenquimais. Além disso, tem experiência com a utilização de modelos animais e certificação da Direção Geral de Alimentação e Veterinária para trabalhar com os mesmos. É autor de 5 publicações científicas em revistas internacionais e de 1 capítulo de livro, obteve 1 bolsa de doutoramento individual, 1 financiamento para a organização de um evento científico solidário e 4 prémios para a participação em congressos. Apresentou palestras orais e pósteres em congressos internacionais e de renome, tais como Federation of European Neuroscience Societies Forum 2024 e Gordon Research Conference. Apresenta experiência ao nível de ensino como professor convidado na Faculdade de Medicina e Ciências Biomédicas da Universidade do Algarve. É ainda avaliador contratado pela agência nacional de avaliação e de acreditação de Ensino Superior (A3Es).
