SILVANA SERRÃO (silvana.serrao@ua.pt) was born in Madeira Island, Portugal. She graduated in Tourism at the University of Aveiro in 2012 and completed her Master's degree in Management and Tourism Planning at the same University in 2017. Currently she attends the Doctoral Program in Tourism (UA) and starts recently a new challenge as FCT Fellowship. Between 2018 and 2024 she has been involved in 4 Research Projects, as Research Fellowship and collaborator. She has professional training and research skills in Qualitative Data Analysis (NVivo 12 software, WebQDA software) and Quantitative Data Analysis (SPSS software). She's also author and co-author of articles in national and international journals. Member of the Organizing Committee of the International Conference INVTUR and member (as PhD student) at the Research Unit in Governance, Competitiveness and Public Policies at the University of Aveiro in the Research Group on Tourism and Development. Her main research interests are Destination Management; Monitoring the Tourism Sector; Indicators and Forecasting tools for Decision-making; Performance; Intelligent Tourism Management; Intelligent Support Tools; Wine Tourism; Regional and Local development; Stakeholders; Events, among others.
