Catarina da Cunha Lopes obtained her bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering at the University of Porto with a grade of 16/20. She subsequently pursued a master's degree in Chemical Engineering, specializing in Processes and Products, at the same university, achieving a final grade of 18/20. Her master's dissertation, titled "Quantitative Prediction of the Dissociation Degree of Ionic Liquids in Binary Mixtures," was carried out at the Laboratory of Separation and ReactionProcesses - Laboratory of Catalysis and Materials (LSRE-LCM) on the Department of Chemical Engineering of FEUP, in which she obtained a grade of 19. Since then, she has been working in the field of Engineering Sciences and Technologies, with an emphasis on Chemical Engineering. Soon after the conclusion of her Integrated Master's, she successfully applied for 3 research grants under the HealthyWaters, NanoCatRed and F-CAT projects. These projects allowed her to enrich her knowledge in the field of wastewater treatment, learn new analysis techniques, improve her competencies, work in a multidisciplinary team, and improve her scientific dissemination skills, among others. So far, she has authored 3 articles, 1 of them as first author, and her work was presented in 5 international and 1 national congresses. Outside of academic and professional pursuits, she is involved in extracurricular activities, such as Python, Solid Works, LaTeX, OutSystems, as well as in academic associations (NEEQ) and organization of events related to Chemical Engineering (ENEEQ, ChemBonding, JEQ). Moreover, she got involved in Sociedade Musical Boa União where she is instrumentist, head of suit and board member.
