Luiza Melo de Lima holds a PhD in Chemical Engineering from the University of Aveiro in 2023, specialising in Materials Engineering and Macromolecular Products. Researcher with more than seven years of experience developing plastic composites for industrial applications, namely thermoplastic nanocomposites reinforced with graphene, thermoplastic composites reinforced with fibres and rubber-based composites reinforced with recycled materials. She has a high knowledge of composite materials development and their applications in the automotive and footwear industries. She has extensive experience in polymer industrial processing and expertise in characterising polymeric materials. Luiza Melo de Lima has published three papers in international peer-reviewed multidisciplinary high-impact journals plus three conference papers and has presented 24 poster/oral national/international conferences. Currently, she is a supervisor of 3 bachelor's students and a co-supervisor of 1 master's students.
