Ana C. Q. Silva obtained her BSc (2015) and MSc (2017) degrees in Biochemistry from the University of Aveiro, Portugal. In 2024, she concluded her PhD in Biochemistry at the same institution with the thesis "Development of Cellulose-Based Materials for Dermal Administration of Drugs and Bioactive Compounds," under the scientific supervision of Doctor Carmen S. R. Freire and co-supervision of Doctor Carla Vilela and Professor Doctor Armando J. D. Silvestre. Ana C. Q. Silva is currently a research fellow at CICECO - Aveiro Institute of Materials, University of Aveiro, Portugal, working on the project "FF2F - From Fossil to Forest," under the supervision of Doctor Carmen S. R. Freire. Her research activities focus on the development of new sustainable (bio)polymeric materials for distinct applications.
