Dylan Perdigão received the bachelor’s and master’s degrees in informatics engineering, specializing in intelligent systems from the University of Coimbra, in 2021 and 2023, respectively, where he is currently pursuing the Ph.D. degree in informatics engineering. He is a Research Fellow with the Centre for Informatics and Systems of the University of Coimbra (CISUC), where he is involved in the Centre for Responsible AI (CR-AI) Project. Previously, he contributed to the Smart5Grid Project at CISUC, working on causal inference, imbalanced data, and federated learning. Since 2024, he has been an Invited Assistant Professor with the Department of Informatics Engineering, University of Coimbra. His current research interests include deep learning, particularly spiking neural networks, and causal inference. He has been a Member of the Portuguese Engineering Association (Ordem dos Engenheiros) since 2022 and the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) and the Portuguese Association of Pattern Recognition (APRP) since 2025.
